Book Proposal Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in publishing with us! To help us evaluate your book idea, please provide the following information. This will help us understand your concept, the audience you intend to reach, and your background as an author.
1. Book Title
Provide a working title for your book. This can be tentative but should give a clear indication of the book's focus.
2. Author Information
- Full Name
- Professional Background
Include a brief overview of your career, relevant experience, and expertise in the field of design and innovation. - Previous Publications (if any)
List any previous books, articles, or papers you've authored. - Motivation for Writing
Why are you passionate about writing this book? What drives you to contribute to this field?
3. Concept
Please answer the following questions:
- Who is your target audience?
- What key issue is addressed in the book?
- What is the expected outcome for the reader (the impact of reading the book and applying its principles)?
- What are comparable titles, and how does this book differ from them?
- What demonstrates the author's expertise, and what evidence supports the content (e.g., research, case studies, existing models)?
- Can you provide a short summary of the book (1-2 paragraphs)?
4. Sample Chapter or Excerpt (optional)
Include a sample chapter or excerpt if available. This will give us a better sense of your writing style and the book’s tone.
5. Timeline
What is your projected timeline for completing the book (print-ready, including design)?
6. Marketing and Promotion Ideas
Share any initial ideas you have for marketing and promoting the book. Are there events, partnerships, or platforms you plan to use to engage your target audience? Do you see potential in specific markets, for instance, education?
This structure will provide us with the necessary insights to evaluate your book proposal effectively. We look forward to reviewing your submission! Please send your proposal to our publisher, Harm van Kessel, at: [email protected].
